Ok, well my daughter and I have been making junque journals/daybooks faster then we can use them. So, my daughter came up with a great idea to do a give away on my (which has slowly became our) blog. So that is exactly what we are going to do. Details and Pictures of the junque journal to be given away will follow by tomorrow morning.

TO ENTER:

1. Follow or be a follower of this blog. (all you need to do is have a gmail account). If you have trouble or are unable to make an account, email me.

2. Comment under the pictures of the junque journal that you would like to be entered. (Not this picture- it will be posted later on TODAY 8/19/12)

3. Each person commenting will receive a number ( I will list the numbers prior to the drawing)

One winner will be chosen using the random number generator. I will then have the winner email me their mailing info.

That is all you need to do. Any questions you can email me at annehotchkiss25@gmail.com

Hi All!!!!

I haven't fallen off the face of the earth, I just have been sidetracked. We have a bid on our house, so we have to get to packing. (Oh, I get headaches just thinking about it). On top of that we have to get the kids ready for school (so that we can rip them out in a month and transfer them 10 hours away...oh joy) AND hubby is getting ready to retire. <whew>

That's ok because despite all that is going on. I have been smashing and papercrafting and even back to drawing like crazy. (go figure). I guess when I need to push off my list of "things to do" I run to my office and yell MOMMY TIME OUT!!! :)

So later today or tomorrow afternoon (depending on how nice my photo editor plans to be to me) I will upload all that myself A and little a (my daughter) have been working on.

Happy Creating!!!!

I just had to share. The Day Book bug has infested my house. My 13 year old daughter, an artist by nature has decided to get in on the day book bug and make some books to capture her last minute NY memories. Here is the results of Day book 1 for her.

My most recent day book. <sigh> I really need to stop making these, but I have so much paper and this is such a great way to use it. They are like mini smash books.....LOL. So far this one has the best stitching yet (straight for a change lol)

YAY, Straight :)

Fabric Day Book

This is a view of the whole book ...each page cascades, pages get a little big longer each time :)

Ooops I did it again.....this is getting really really bad LOL

22 July 2012

OOOOO Very  busy weekend. Hubby became quite the "enabler". He could not stand all my car hopping to track down the best deal on a tool set (punch set, paper piercer, craft knife, etc) so, he just finally gave up and bought the one he saw in AC Moore.  Hmmmm Maybe I should send him shopping more often????!!

Well, I FINALLY was able to hand stitch my own day books. First one came out "eh". The other two I like. I didn't make them that large because I plan to fill them up with all the Long Island and Manhattan stuff we do (we are going to act like tourists and go see it all) before we move.

So here are my weekend projects:

Map Covered Day Book

I didn't like the stitching so I covered with Washi :)
